How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I have an iron sheet roofed house and cultivation land so I may have food at home. Before, my grass thatched house would leak when it rains inconveniencing sleeping at night and didn't have where to cultivate food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well giving us money that has enabled people to acquire land, build houses, household items like mattresses; and there's nothing it hasn't done well in my opinion.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
My second transfer was spent to buy timber, ironsheets, cement, nails to construct a house and the balance used to buy food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest change I have seen in my life is that I have managed to build a house and I'm so grateful because I have been so tired of sleeping in a grass thatched house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
First and foremost I received this transfer at 2 am in the morning and I did not realize like money was sent to my phone. When I woke in the course of the night and checked the phone and money was in my phone I became so happy at the highest level. I woke up my wife from sleep and I informed her that Give Directly has sent us money and I told her to keep calm until its morning such that we can plan on how to spend the transfer.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I planned together with my spouse to construct a iron roofed house because I have suffered for a very long time looking for grass and the cost of maintenance for a grass thatched house is so high. So I bought building materials, paid workers and feeding them during the construction process and it took the whole transfer of ugx 1700000.
