I will spend about $100 to stock up food to last me for up to four months. I am also planning to plaster($100) my house's floor thus reducing my exposure to dust. My asthmatic condition will become less severe as a result.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One of my sons gifted me a goat 2 months ago. It gave birth to a female kid one week ago and I am filled with happiness because this little miracle is a sign of hope and good things to come. I believe my little herd will grow to support me in times of financial challenges.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I was diagnosed with asthma about 20 years ago. I have to depend on fishing to make a living, and this livelihood has contributed to my health's deterioration. Standing in the chilly water for hours is not ideal for someone with my health condition. But I have to do it to sustain my needs and those of my 2 grandchildren. If I can't fish, there's no money and no food. So I continue to gamble between my health and sleeping on an empty stomach.
