How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I already have a house but with this transfer, I've considered and decided to build a new one in the capital city Fishtown. The school in this community Gbaweleken stops at junior high level and I want my children to attain higher education so for them to be comfortable in the capital, I need to build a house there and that's my new goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Empowering us with cash we have not seen before is more than enough good. I'm grateful to GiveDirectly for this. Changing our lives from one level to another positively is immense and I can only be grateful. To think of anything GiveDirectly isn't doing well will be like looking for a needle in a hay stack.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have bought additional materials including zinc, nails and wood for my housing project expected to kick off anytime soon in Fishtown city.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"If I am bless to receive a cash transfer from Givedirectly, I intend to build a house in Fish Town City because if my children should graduate from Gbaweleken School System so that they can move to Fish Town to further their education. I owned the house we are presently living in and even though I make farm to sustain the family and earned little cash as well to buy other household utensils, but the money is not enough to help acquired land and build in Fish Town City. Therefore, if Givedirectly can provide me with any assistance it will be highly appreciated".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"What makes me happy in the past six months is when all of my children got promoted and passed in their school. It makes me happy because I, as a high school dropout who is struggling to educate my children to see that all of them make a passed really makes me happy".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"The biggest hardship facing me and my family is money to provide my children with quality education that will help them become productive tomorrow. The bigger one is in 7th grade, the next in 5th grade, the younger ones are in 3rd grade and pre-school respectively. I too stopped in the 10th grade, but due to the lack of support, I have to dropped out of school and has since promised to educate my children so that they can not be like me. But with out money, I will not be able to achieve this dream. Therefore, any assistance that Givedirectly can give me to change me and my children life will be highly helpful".
