What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used the entire transfer to buy a shade tent which people hire at a fee.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now have enough sheep in my home which I bought with the second transfer. Again the tent I bought earns me adequate income. In fact to my surprise, in the rich in the community hire it at a fee.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it has really improved the livelihood of the very poor in the community. At the moment, I'm not sure of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy two cows that will at one point give me milk to sell. I then bought 4 sheep that I keep in my compound to replace the ones that had been stolen sometimes back. I then bought five bags of cement that I will use to repair the floor of my house and then two wooden doors to fix in the inner rooms of the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that my compound once more has livestock and has life. I was devastated when my goats were stolen but I have since replaced them and this makes me very happy.

I spent my first transfer on paying school fees for my children, bought three sheep and I also bought food for my family

I am planning to spend my upcoming transfer on renovating my house, paying school fees for my children and I would also like to start up a shop business that will bring me some income

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, I intend to use the part of the transfer to plaster the walls of my house and cement the floor. Secondly, I plan to use another part of the transfer to start a small shop at the gate of our home, where I intend to sell commodities like sugar, cooking fat, and others to the villagers, and get some income to help me in sustaining my family. Lastly, I plan to use the remaining amount to pay school fees for our son who will be joining form one next year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Having planted forty tree seedlings in our compound which I intend to sell in future, so as to earn some income, is the achievement I'm proudest of.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have is unreliable source of income that has resulted in both my children being sent away from school due to non payment of school levies and, going without food at times.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when my children are back home from school and they are well.
