How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before GiveDirectly came to this town to help us, I had a business that wasn't improving because of a lack of money but through the help of GiveDirectly transfer, I was able to achieve my goal of improving my business; my new goal is to rebuild my house and make it more comfortable for my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by showing us love and respect every time they come to talk to us, I also love the system that was used to send us the transfers that is through our mobile money accounts; I don't have anything to point out that GiveDirectly is not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used my most recent transfer to fix potion of my house, I also added some goods to my business, I paid some of my grandson school fees and the remaining amount was used to buy foodstuff for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
How I felt when I received my first transfer from GiveDirectly: On October 21,2021 about 9:00AM after my prayer at mosque, I was sitting down at my house when I heard my phone ringing. I took the phone and give it to my son to see it because I can't read and write. When my son checked the message, he said to me GiveDirectly has sent you money on your mobile money account. When I heard it, I was so happy because I have never seen such a help from NGOs before in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly: Since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly, I can't credit goods from people again to sell. The goods I used to take on credit caused me to worry many days but now I am free selling my own goods.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
What I spend my most recent transfer on: Before I received this transfer from GiveDirectly, I use to take goods from people on credit. I will sell the goods and pay the people money back because I didn't have my own business money. When the transfer came from GiveDirectly, I bought my own goods which are lappers; I can now sell for myself with out any stress from people.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I receive this transfer I intend to pay my grand child school fees, repair my house and make a bigger business because the small business like ( gari, slapper, sugar& kola) I'm selling is not enough to pay my grand child tuition fees and repair my house
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months my daughter bought me bag of rice. That makes me happy because I didn't have money to buy rice.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The major challenge I'm facing right now is to get money to make my business a bigger one, repair my house and pay my grandchild school fees.Even though I have a small business like ( slapper, gari, sugar) the money I'm getting is not enough to repair my house and pay my grand child tuition fees
