What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
The first installment i plan to build a new house because our current house is being destroyed by ants and I will build a kitchen. I also plan to buy beds and matress for us and other materials we need for our house. The second installment i plan to buy livestocks, I want to buy 2 goats for $100 and a sheep for $40 and the balance i want to buy a land. Receiving this money means having an answer to my prayers and being able to live well, because i will be able to provide for all our needs and have a brighter happy future.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When I had a leg injury they told me that i will be amputated but thankfully it wasn't the case , I will always be thankful for that. My grandson Theophille was recently sick and was not able to swallow for a while but now he is able to eat and this has brought happiness to me. Being able to benefit from the government support program that helps old people has been helpful to me and it now helps me get money to use and pay for workers as i don't have much energy and the money allows me to pay for school fees for my grandchildren and school uniform and books for them , they are now able to study without any worries.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge i currently face is that i don't have enough land to cultivate, i have to rent from others to be able to produce what to eat. And I had a leg injury which doesn't allow me to be able to work for others, i have to try to survive from the little I harvest. Getting fertiliser is not easy because i have to herd livestock from others to be able to get fertiliser to use. My house is small for me and my grandchildren as we even have to sleep with the livestock we herd inside the same house.
