Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When i had received this transfer in my phone even before cashing it out, i was very happy and thankful. It was an interesting but unforgettable moment in my life. The moment can be described as a turning point in my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Previously I was sleeping on a mat with no mattress. It was hard but I had no choice. Iam excited now to report that I sleep on a comfortable mattress and life is never the same. Furthermore, I have food in my house which I and my family eat daily, we no longer spend a day without food. It will even take us many days ahead. This is contrary to how we used to live in the past years as we would not afford to save food for our family even for a 7 days. It was always hand to mouth.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent this cash on buying iron sheets, mattress and 5 bags of maize for consumption. Part of the transfer was used to buy blankets and clothes among other basic needs.
