How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before, when buying food, i would buy a basin of maize, now i am able to buy bags of maize, and i am food secure.

GD has well in helping us solve our needs each individually without forcing us

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was excited when I received the money. I was not anticipating at that time. The message came in the evening, first thing in the morning I rushed to collect the money from the agent.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
Before the money, I was not able to pay fees for my child who is in the reception class. I have been able to pay to fees for my child after the transfer. I have also bought 1 goat ( I have borrowed one goat from my neighbor for breeding) .Going forward, I would want to have a heard of goats for selling which I was not able to do before the transfers. Therefore this transfer has provided with capital for me.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to buy 2 blankets considering the cold weather that comes when rains start, a bed, 1 goat and 4 bags of maize for consumption. I was also able to buy school uniform and paid fees for my child.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The program is really great. I will use the money to renovate my house. I will also be able to buy a bicycle to ease movement. I have also been wanting to buy a goat and this is a chance.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Everytime when there is a party.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have been lacking financies to renovate my house.
