How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because my son no longer sleep at the neighbor's house since I have managed to build for him a house with the cash transfer l received from GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start saving from my business of selling donuts to get enough money and buy plastering materials and cement my kitchen. The wall is being washed away by rain fall and repairing it every now and then is very expensive and also not easy. I also would like to cook in a nice neat plastered kitchen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that my son now have his own sleeping room and there he does not need to look for a place to sleep in from the neighbour's as he used to do before. I also now have a very comfortable place where my visitors too can spend as compared to before when they were sleeping in my kitchen.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months l expect to have started to saving the money from my business to buy plastering materials to achieve my dream of plastering my kitchen.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was so worried about the loan I had obtained since payment time was due yet I did not have any money so they were coming for my properties hence I thank Give Directly for coming handy when I needed them most.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I would want to finish putting up a house for my son and buy a sheep for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have settled the loan which has given me stress for long, my son is finally going to have his own house because of Give Directly and I have been eating well with my family.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
Apart from my earlier plans, I do not have any new goal. I still want to accomplish what I had planned.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face in my life is that I tried opening a small business but it failed forcing me to go back to casual labour of which the income is very unstable and at times the pay is not adequate to sustain my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I clean my compound and thereafter proceed to my farm to do some ploughing. This makes me happy because I love a clean environment.
What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on building a house for my eldest son, part of it will be used in paying school fees for my children and the remaining amount will be spent on buying household items like plates and cups.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am proudest of is that I was able to build a kitchen using part of my savings that I received from our table-banking scheme in the village.
