How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months in that I am staying in a three-room, iron-roofed house that comfortably accommodates my family well. I am also sleeping in a more decent bedroom with new beddings. In addition, I feel very happy and proud, not shameful like before when I receive any visitor because there is privacy after having built my own bedroom.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I can't say I have any new goal because I am still working extra hard to ensure I finish the work I started of improving my house to a better one.I have been buying two bags of cement every month to help me in plastering my house since this was part of my initial goal that wasn't achieved.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been staying in a one-roomed grass-roofed house. When I started receiving my transfer from Give Directly I decided to start buying building materials like iron sheets, nails, etc for the preparation of building a better house. During rainy seasons, I used to find it very rough because the roof was leaking and even my beddings could get soaked. I was tired with this kind of life though I had no hopes of improving it to a better one because I had no one to depend on for financial support. Receiving money from Give Directly was a blessing to me and this was the beginning of a better life, I build a spacious three-roomed house. I am longer being rained on unlike before thus I always thank Give Directly, I am proud to say this is the biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I don't expect any change so far because almost all my transfer I used on building and improving my house. I am not yet done with the work though I am some miles away. Hopefully, by the end of my term, I will have managed to improve it to the level I want it to be.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been engaging in some small scale business of selling dagga albeit in small quantities. I buy the dagaa from fishermen who sell them to me at a wholesale price and then I later sell them at retail price, thereby allowing me to make some profits.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goals include cementing my house which currently made of earthed floor and walls plastered using cow-dung. For me to succeed in this mission I will have to buy a few bags of cement and sand that will be used during such a process. It, therefore, means that I will have to be saving some little cash at the end of every month so that by the time we get to around September, the total amount of money saved should be enough to complete the project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been using the money to bring a lot of changes in my life but for me, the biggest difference is the house which I constructed a few months ago to help me accommodate members of my family in a dignified manner. I used to live in a small structure which I felt was denying us some privacy especially with the young kids being around.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I plan to boost my small business which I have been running for the last few years to sustain my family. I will start out by buying a huge stock of dagaa so that when I finally sell them out at retail price, it means that the profit margins will be bigger than what I generate today.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that, I no longer depend on odd jobs which are not reliable so as to pay school fees for my children. This is because I get my monthly payment which I can easily use to pay school fees and cater for my other needs too. The fact that I see them going to school without being sent home makes me a happy woman. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I don't have any new goal.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I am staying in a spacious three bedroomed house. Previously I stayed in a one bedroomed which was squeezed. As a woman, I had planned to buy more household item but the fact that space was small could limit even the little goal of making my house beautiful but now, I am planning to start hitting this goal.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have finished plastering my house which simply means that, I will no longer do the smearing work that is normally hectic. I will have also bought nice seats and a bed. This will make my house look beautiful.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I now have a goal of saving little money from the money I receive from GD and use it to build a new house. I have a single room house which can not fit my big family so some of my family members are forced to sleep in neighbors houses.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from how it would have been if I did not receive the money in that I'm now at peace because I stocked food which can push us for some days. This has given so much peace and I do not have to be worried on how to raise money to feed my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to be more peaceful because I believe I'll be getting some money monthly to meet my needs that I was not able to meet on my own.
