How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has greatly changed because I have started transportation business. I'm able to earn in a good day between UGX 5000 to 10,000. I can now afford to provide basic needs like soap, food and treatment to my family. Prior to this transfer, things were very had in that, I had to look for casual labour.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by supporting me financially to buy a motorbike. This has enabled me to start transportation business. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I cleared a debt which I had got for purchasing motorbike and bought food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest impact that this transfer has brought in my daily life is that, I bought building materials that will make my dreams of constructing a permanent house come true. Before, I used to sleep in a dilapidated structure with no financial strength of moving my self to a better house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the mobile money message, I was too excited. For so long, I wanted to build a permanent house but I never had the money to do that.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
My first transfer was spent on construction materials such bricks and iron sheets worth UGX 700000 and UGX 60000 respectively. The transport for materials costed me UGX 250000 and I also bought a mattress, bed sheets and clothes worth UGX 150000.
