Like I already told you , I have no source of income . My husband who is our family's bread winner lost his job recently . He has promised to start a retail shop for by February next year. The only other business here is charcoal selling and its very tiring and that's why I preferred a shop . We need $300 to start , I know God will open a way and we shall get the money to start this business .

Give Directly is clearly eradicating poverty in this country , and this is commendable . We had a lot of problems , our houses used to flood with rains , most people did not have beddings . Right now my village is shining with new houses . I do not know how to thank you . I'm so grateful that I now own a house . On the day that i received this transfer , I wasn't feeling well , so I was having some rest when I heard my phone ringing. I was so happy to see that it was the second transfer from Give Directly ! Since my husband was not at home I called to share the good news and he quickly came home for us to plan on the expenditure . Before, we used to have a very weak and unpresentable bed , our mattress was so old . So I spent $55 on bed and $50 on a mattress . I then donated my old beddings to my in-law . We used to have old poor quality chairs , I used $15 to buy two comfortable seats . 2seats 1500. Our house was at the verge of collapsing and it needed some renovation . I spent $20 on cement to repair the floor , and $90 on a steel door since previously we used to have an iron sheet door . I have been keeping my clothes in a wooden box , I needed a good suitcase hence I bought one at $15 , I'm now using the old one for my baby's clothes. We did not have enough water storage containers , so I bought seven of them and paid $11 . We had never put on new clothes for a very long time , so I took $50 and bought clothes for my husband , children and I , I wish you could see the smiles on our faces the way we wore them ! I spent $130 on two goats , I now own three goats and I intend to have them multiply even more .I had a debt at our local shop where I always take food on credit , it had accumulated to $58 so I cleared the debt and spend the rest of the money on food .

The moment I received my transfer, I was at home preparing breakfast. Suddenly I heard my phone ringing, upon checking I realised that I had received money from GiveDirectly. I was overwhelmed with joy and happiness knowing very well that this would change our living standards. I then informed my husband who was so excited and optimistic that our lives would be transformed entirely. I am so grateful for the support that brought so much happiness and joy into our lives.

My daily life is different, In that, I no longer need to relocate to my friend's place during the rainy season. This was so embarrassing having to seek shelter all the time. It was causing inconveniences to our friends because we would haul there all the time. But I am glad and relieved that all this is in the past now. we are grateful for the great milestone that we have achieved in a short period.

The transfer came as a big relief in our lives. This is because our house was old hence the roof was leaking during the rainy season. It was not easy for us to construct a decent house since my husband was jobless. Therefore, the little we could earn from the random casual jobs was only enough to buy foodstuffs. We are so happy that finally, God has answered our prayer and granted us our heart desires. we are grateful for the support that made us accomplish our goal in a short period.
