How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have always had food for my family. Before the transfers, I did not have any source of income and this is why we would miss so many meals. We would depend on well-wishers for survival. Since GD came to my life, I have always bought food in bulk once a month which has been very helpful.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I have a new goal of starting a shoe business. This will help me meet my family needs in time and not struggle as I have always struggled because I do not have any income.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have always desired to build a new house since I am currently staying in a grass thatched house. The house is small and cannot accommodate us well and the roof is also leaking. Since I did not have any source of income, I was not able to put up a house of my preference. This is why I have been using part of my GD transfers to buy building materials such as iron sheets. I am almost done with buying the iron sheets so that I can now build the house I have always desired.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have new household items which I do not have currently. After building the house, I would want to have new items such as seats, utensils and bedding.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Right now I have savings which I will use in buying building materials. Currently, I am living in a grass thatched house with a leaking roof. At night during the rainy seasons, we always have hectic time because we keep on moving our bedding to find a place to sleep. Life was a bit unfair and I felt I was suffering a lot. After I started receiving these transfers I have been saving part of the transfers to buy building materials. I would want to build a bigger iron-roofed house which can accommodate my family and my visitors as well. I would want to handle the house-issue once and for all with this chance given to me by GD.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to start a shoe business to help improve my income. With the business up and smoothly running, I will be able to comfortably meet my family's needs. Currently, the family relies on one source of income from my spouse which honestly has never been enough.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have acquired new utensils for my household. The few that I could afford when I first got married had since then worn out which called for some replacements. I have always felt so ashamed whenever needed to present them for usage by my visitors. To make the situation even worse, my neighbors, who I frequently borrowed their utensils to serve my visitors, had begun looking down upon me, a clear indication that I was becoming a bother. To calm the situation, I resorted into accepting life the way it presented itself. Little did I know that I would one day show off for possession of very cute utensils. I feel very proud I don't go begging anymore.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I plan to build a new house. What this means now is that I will be saving part of my monthly transfers to buy building materials. How long the project will take is not a worry, all that I focus on is having a decent modern house for my humble family and with the assurance of monthly transfers from GiveDirectly, I am rest assured that my dream will come true.
