How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goals from the first transfer is still the same, which is to build a new and decent house for me and my family comfort.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
The help rendered from GD is unexplainable, if not for Givedirectly intervention, the house I'm currently in was at the verge of collapsing because, the roof was beyond repair, the walls needed concrete cement to withstand the pressure from the rain. Givedirectly did extremely and incredibly well. They promised us cash and they fulfilled. So far so good, no complain or any form of disappointments.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought six gallons of gas for the sawing of planks, I paid my son second semester tuition, I bought 25kg rice for consumption and the rest of the money will be use for workmanship.

I was sharpening my cuttlasses that morning to go on my farm, when message came I reluantly pick up the phone and checked my balance fortunately I saw 40373LD. I started singing and dancing praising God for what he has done through GiveDirectly, in honest since I received this amount huge amount of money my heart has been overflow with joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest in my daily life is, I didn't imagine getting this amount of money in my life. I used to worry in the middle of the night about my children's future, one night asked God whether my children droop from school like me but today have cash for my children school fees. The differences are uncountable.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
What I plan to do with my cash transfer is, I want to recondition my house immediately, I intent to buy zinc and change the thatches, because the thatches aren't durable for roofing, as I speak, the house has leakages, and once the thatches can not hold the rain, it comes down on the wall which causes the mud house to burst and fall.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought me happiness in the last six months is, quite recently, there was a rice and oil distributions in the county, when I got my portion of the share I was so glad, it helped my family to some extent which caused me so much joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Those challenges I'm currently faced with are, firstly, paying my children's school fees, to find buyers for the produce is so challenging, at times the produce remain in my hands and spoil; but the little cash I generate from the sold produce aren't enough to pay school fees and support the home at the same time. Secondly, reconditioning my house is also a serious challenge, in the sense that, there isn't enough fund to start up, the farming work is the only source of income for me, and raising fund from it is difficult.
