Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy because I had been in poverty for a number of years but a well wisher came my way and has sent me that amount of money without paying back.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
It's very good to see that my living conditions and and standards have changed. Formally, I was sleeping in a leaking semi petmanent house but Givedirectly through my first transfers had enabled me to buy cement to renovate the house I was sleeping in. I had also acquired household utensils in order to have hygienic living conditions that have been lacking in my home. When a vistor came to my home, I would feel a shamed to draw water for the visitor because I did not have presentable cups for drawing water. I used to sleep on the floor but now I sleep on a bed and my children are clothed well compared to the previous days.
