Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was so happy when I received my transfer, my first thought was the kids can finally go to school. I live with orphans; kids for my late relations. They did not have proper clothes nor fees for school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life has been my home overall happiness; when I received the transfer; my wife and I got the kids clothes and paid their fees, this made us all happy since they were just sitting at home doing nothing and now they are able to go to school.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought Iron sheets to improve my house roofing. I also bought a solar panel that we use to connect our radio to and listen to farming programs known as "zaulimi" . I also bought maize bags for food for my home. I also paid school fees and bought clothes for my late relatives kids that I raise.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
We struggle to get grass for our house, so when we receive this money we will buy iron sheets for our house. We also have always wanted a radio in our life for entertainment and also to stay informed. So this money would give us a chance to purchase one. The rest of the money we would use it to buy blankets and food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the past few months we still had our crop yield and we were able to feed our family and this made us proud.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
We only harvested three bags of maize this year and this food only lasted up until August. Now we struggle to find food on a daily basis. Another challenge is that we can not afford school necessities for our children.
