How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed, I now have enough kitchen utensils and cooking is easy. I and my husband also got treatment that we were not able to get due to lack of money. I had a complication in the uterus while my husband has Hepatitis B I had one sauspan and cooking was not easy . I could first make sauce, pour in the dish when it got ready and use the same sauspan to mingle bread.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly according to me did well to send us all the transfers they had promised us without deducting any money. The GiveDirectly staff also have good recipient handling skills. There is nothing bad they have done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent UGX 700,000 for getting treatment because I had an infection in my uterus. I got land at a mortgage fee of UGX 500,000. I bought household items( utensils, bed, mattress, clothes),food and groundnut seeds with the balance of the money.
