How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my family do not have to do casual work to get money for daily provisions. We have the transfers which we rely on to buy maize that last us a whole month and also buy other foodstuffs to consume. I can say we eat well as a family as we never run out of cash in the house. We can also afford very nice clothes using the transfers and we manage to look presentable all the time.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of saving and starting up a business to help in the generation of income for the family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that we have plenty of food in the house. We always plan a budget to last us a whole month by saving and buying the maize and other foodstuffs in bulk which we use till the next transfer. Great thing is, we get to eat well without necessarily doing tedious casual work in order to raise money to buy the food and attend to other responsibilities.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I mainly want to start up a business to help in the generation of income for the family. In the next six months, I expect to have saved and set up the business which will be up and running. We depend mostly on doing very tedious casual work to earn money for our daily provisions. I wish to change this by having a way of generating income while doing less work.

We rarely miss the basic needs nowadays and I thank Give Directly for that.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, I rely on casual work but it's not paying well. Therefore for the next four months of my life, I have a goal of saving the next transfers and later start up a business. I have not yet decided what kind of business I would invest in. I am still finding out what would work best and what I am required to do in different circumstances. However, I believe with the business, I'll be able to comfortably meet the family's expenses.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Previously I used to struggle in order to raise money to meet my family's needs. I only relied on working on people's farm in order to earn a living but this was challenging because there are times when I could go for days without getting anywhere to work on. At times they paid us very little or nothing at all. All this changed when I started receiving money from Give Directly. I can now comfortably provide basic needs such as food without depending on the wages from casual jobs. I really feel relieved and always pray for this organization.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Currently, I have a goal of starting up a business so that I can have an additional source of income. In the next six months of my life, I'm planning to use the transfers that I'll be receiving to boost the business I am currently doing and I believe that by then the business will have grown. I will use some of the profits from this business to start another one. I believe in self-employment because one is always in control. I believe I will be able to achieve this goal because I have enough support from Give Directly

In the last four months, my life has been of a big difference. I knew academic strength of my two daughters and as a result, I embraced the tradition of saving since I knew that there will be nobody to assist me when they reach secondary school. This has made me do other thing with the money I get from my small business.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I have a big dream of enlarging my business, and out of it I expect a good return. I sell second hand clothing, but at a small scale which could give me low return. I have done research and I have to increase my savings to allow me qualified for bugger loan for my business enlargement.
