Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I live with my daughter and I was with her when I received the first transfer. I was very happy when I received my transfer because we were in great need of food and clothes. I was also able to buy utensils I did not have at home and I am planning on buying more livestock as I plan on benefiting from livestock farming.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was living in extreme poverty before receiving my first transfer and I do not want to go back to the life I was living in. My daughter and I could barely afford one meal a day. I now eat healthier and can afford eating some meat when the rabbits that I bought grow. I had never thought my dreams of starting livestock farming would actually be fulfilled, but I can now see doors opening since I received my first GD's transfer.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I received my first transfer and bought utensils worth 50 $, rabbits worth 4 $, clothes for 50 $, food worth 46 $ and I am saving the remaining amount money to buy livestock such as sheep and other. I am waiting until the prices of livestock go back to normal to start using the remaining part of my first transfer to start livestock farming.
