What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm currently facing series of challenges but the major ones that I am currently facing is the lack of money and that of my health. My husband and my self only strive to make farm as means of selling the produce to enable us provide for our family. Another challenge that I am currently facing is that, I went under operation during delivery (C-section) on August 12, 2021. Through this, I was advised by Doctors not to do or carried out any hard task, least to mention working on the farm for six months; by this, things have become more difficult for my family especially in getting food, because it is only my husband alone who is trying to earn for our home.
What is the happiest part of your day?
In the last six months, what has brought me joy or happiness is when I gave birth successfully to a baby girl, though I went through operation (C-section) but it brought me joy to see my self still alive and recovering gradually after going through such difficult situation.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I'm successfully enrolled in to Give Directly's cash transfer program, I want to used portion of the money to built house for my family. The reason I want to built house for me and my family is that, the current house where we are living is not in good condition and I don't have money to built another one. If the money is enough to cover other costs, I will also use some to establish a business to enable me be a help to my husband, because our only source of income in this home is farming and the money earned is not enough to cover all of our needs.
