Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I am Zoe Ansu from Saykay town, Bomi country Liberia. I was very excited when I receive transfer massage from Givedrectly because, my husband is seriously sick and I didn't have money to take him to hospital.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am a farmer, I depend on my crops to support my family. My crops are not ready for havest so I was unable to take my husband for treatment. I sometimes burn coal just to get food for my family. Upon cashing out my money received from Givedrectly, I took my husband to hospital for treatment and bought fertilizer for my pepper farm. I am so happy and planning to start business with my remaining transfer money from Givedrectly. Thanks to Givedrectly for such a great help.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was able to use the transfer money to start his treatment. He is not well yet but I trust God that he will get well soon. Without the help of Givedrectly my husband was not going to start treatment so easily. Because I didn't have money.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful, I will make dry goods business like slippers, underwear ( clothes) etc. Also, if I am successful I will use some of the money to renovate my house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Yes, like in the month of July, my son who going to school was promoted to 1st grade. It really makes me happy. Besides, I normally I am happy the fact that I am alive. But to be specific, my son promotion really makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The main challenge here is food issues and how to get money to pay my children school fees. All is are connected to money business. Meaning if I have money I will not suffer for food and children school fees.
What makes money business hard is our cassava we plant to sell doesn't have good price now. When we pay transportation fair and take it to the Market, they don't pay good money for it.
