So far I do not have any new goal that I can talk of because the main goal was to construct a permanent house and I am very glad that this was a success. I felt there was a need to sleep in a better shelter since the initial one was very small in size it couldn't accommodate all my family members. Two of my children were forced to sleep at their grandmother's house which was a bit far from the village we lived in. As a parent, I feel so happy because finally, I live with all my family members under the same roof.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly did so well in my life and I will forever be thankful for that. First, the idea of acquiring the cash transfers which were sent directly to my mobile phone stood out. This empowered me to own assets like livestock, beautiful houses, and also managed to send all my children to school. Therefore I do not see anything that GiveDirectly has not done well.

According to me, this will be the only source of income that I will be relying on considering I have been jobless for years. In addition to that, I cleared school fees of KES 5000 for my three children who are in primary schools in the nearby village. Seeing them waking up every morning and going to school without any hiccups has been my dream. I'm glad GiveDirectly has made it happen. With the remaining amount of money, I bought foodstuffs for my family and other household items.

It was around 9 AM when I was cleaning my compound when I heard one of my children calling my name. I was a bit curious and by the look on her face, she seemed so excited. Even the coming of GiveDirectly is because of God's will and I can't thank them enough because through them I was able to build a bigger house. So far this is the biggest difference in my daily life. I no longer seek shelter from friends and the joy of living with my family under one roof is immeasurable

For all those years I have been using the traditional beds made of ropes which were very uncomfortable. I could always complain of back pains. I am glad because this will soon come to an end. Also, I bought pieces of iron sheets, building poles, threads, timber, and nails KES 20000. This was for the construction of a new house because the initial one was very small and in a very poor state. My family is composed of five members and therefore some of my children had to seek shelter at their grandmother's house. I later gave the labor KES 5000. In addition, I cleared school fees (KES 2000) for my two children who are in primary school since they were on and off because of the arrears. To do that I bought one goat that will now serve as the living asset that I can rely on. With the remaining amount of money, I am using it to buying enough foodstuffs for my family that would sustain us for a couple of days
