How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would have never owned a mattress or blanket if I had never received these transfers. I would not even speak of owning a house anytime soon. This transfer has done for me things that would have taken a lifetime for me to achieve on my own
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GD Field Officers do a very good job sensitizing and advising people on how best they could use the transfers. People that have used that advise have done the most with their transfers and are now among the well developed in the community
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I thought it wise to mostly invest the money. The first time around I bought a goat and my hope is to have it multiply. Now with the second transfer I have paid builders for their earliest works on the construction of my house and I will raise money for the finishing touches through the village savings and loans group that I have joined. I have also used another portion of the transfer to grow rice which I will sell during the harvest season. Lastly, I bought maize and clothes for myself and my children.

My household has changed in a big way I was so poor that i coudn't afford a Matress or fertiliser I had nothing as old as I'am I use to go to the farm all by my self but today I have managed to employ people to help me with the farms I'm really grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
To begin with i lost my daughter some years back so appparently i live with my 2 grandchildren so I used the part of the transfer to pay school fees and to buy uniforms for my grandchildren, secondly i literally don't have a house,as I'm talking to you i live in a rent house lucky for me i don't pay anything even though the situation is like that i intend to build my own house so i have used the other part of the transfer to buy bricks and iron sheets thats for now. the remaining money that i was left with i bought Matress since i didnt have a comfortable sleeping place I also bought 3 bags of fertiliser that's because I'm a farmer and I own 2 farms and lastly I also bought 4 bags of maize for my household.
