How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
There is a big difference in my life, I have constructed a decent Iron roofed house where I hope to move into after fixing the doors. Currently, I am sleeping in a leaky grass thatched house. I am not comfortable in it but there is some hope of moving out to a good house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to enroll every one who was a resident of my village into the program. If they hadn't done this, some members of the community would be jealous and unhappy. There is nothing bad they did for me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying materials (cement, timber , Iron sheets, nails and sand) that I used for constructing an iron roofed house for my self. I also bought food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
From the day I received the transfer, my daily life has experienced a remarkable turn around in that, I'm always joyous. This is because, I repossessed my land, bought a mattress and bed which I was not able to in the past when I had no money. Those days I just used to worry a lot over them.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very excited when I received my first transfer from GiveDirectly. For I knew, I was going to regain an acre of land that was under the control of the creditor hence more land for crop production.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer to pay off a debt of UGX 1000000 which made me repossess my land from the creditor. In addition, I bought utensils worth UGX 109000, bed and mattress at UGX 190000. I'm planning to spend UGX 401000 to buy bricks for the construction of my house.
