How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
It has been my dream to own a house within my town. When I get sufficient money in years to come, I want to build my own house so that I can relocate from my anty house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
I have never handle a huge amount of money in my entire life, it's a good thing for GiveDirectly to give me money without paying it back.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I am been living in my anty house for more than five years due to the lack of money to build myself a house. When I received the money from GiveDirectly, I used some to buy building materials and some furnitures inorder to build myself a descent house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
RE: On a cool morning i wokeup from sleep and decided to make a call, upon picking the phone to call i noticed a text message on the phone, so i open the message and from the text message i saw it was my givedirectly transfer. I was overly excited and most importantly grateful for such a gift, because it is my very first time to own such a huge cash in my lifetime.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
RE: The biggest difference in my live at the moment is the happiness i feel knowing that i can now afford so many things on my own. I can now afford clothes, purchase a zinc for the construction of my house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer on purchasing mistress and zinc for the construction of my new decent and comfortable house. I bought a mistress because i have been out of mistress for a very long period of time now. I slept on bamboo and sticks for since i can remember.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
" My family live in a room in my aunt house, we don't have a house on our own. The proceeds I get from the farm is not enough to build a house. When I receive the transfer from GiveDirectly, I will build a house with portion of the money and establish a business that will help sustain my family with the remaining money".
What is the happiest part of your day?
" Two months ago my husband bought me slapper and that got me excited. My slapper was very old and I didn't have any means of getting a new one".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" The challenges I am facing are lack of good shelter and lack of household items. The house we lived in is leaking and the owner of house don't have money to change the roof".
