My new or additional goal for my life for the next four months is that I am planning to plaster my house. I am already in the process of buying plastering materials like sand, cement. I decided to prioritize this project because in our area we do experience heavy rains and they do interfere with the muddy houses hence to be on the safe side I decide that I plaster my house as soon as possible.

I thank Give Directly I am now staying in an iron-roofed house, I am no longer rained on together with my family members hence this is the biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving money from Give Directly. I used to live in a grass-thatched house that leaked a lot during the rainy season. I used to spend sleepless nights during these seasons because my bedding could get wet due to the leaking roof. Through the transfers, I was able to afford to buy building materials and managed to build a spacious iron-roofed house. Nowadays I sleep in peace without being distracted by the rains

I have do burn and sell charcoal to those people who buy in bulk. Currently, I do not have a spacious room to store them as I wait for customers to come and buy. I have a challenge when it comes to the rainy season, in that at times I am forced to store them in my sitting room because I lack a store. I expect in the next six months to have built a spacious store where I can store my charcoal well. Having a store will enable me to have good space to display and also I can start selling on small quantities with ease.

I am planning to open a charcoal shop, I do burn charcoal and get several bags both for sell and also domestic purposes. Since I am selling them at home, at times I am forced to sell at a throwaway price due to lack of customers and also need cash to use to feed my family. I felt there is a need to look for a shop this will expand my market, thus increase in daily sales. An increase in sales will increase my daily profit thus I'll use the profit to support my family by improving their living standards, buying food, better clothes and also paying fees.

The greatest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is building a house. I was staying in a grass-roofed house that was seriously leaking when it rained thus when Give Directly came and promised us money my priority was to build a better house. I have been using my transfer on buying iron sheets because I wanted to fulfill my dream of having a better house. I thank God I managed to build my dream house through Give Directly transfers. When I flashback life was unbearable because during the rainy seasons we were forced to take our children in our grandmother's house spend a night there. We used to unfold beddings till the rain stops to avoid them being soaked with rainy water. I thank Give Directly that is not the norm nowadays after building an iron-roofed house. We are staying a happy life with no worries like, before.

Personally, I work hard for a better output. I expect to stabilize my charcoal business by opening a charcoal shop. Having done this will enable me to get better daily sales hence improving my living standard. Having a good profit out of the business will enable me to buy food for my family with a lot of ease and on time. In addition, I also have school-going children, thus I know I would be in a position to pay their fees on time and they will never be sent back home unlike before due to school fees balances.

Secondly, through the transfers, I have been able to pay back all my debts in the village. I have always depended on borrowing money to handle my needs which in most cases have accumulated and given me hard to pay back due to low income from my casual work. I have been using part of my transfers to settle the debts. As at now, I am glad I have sorted all my debts and I feel free.

In the next four months, I wish to plaster my house. I would want to make it durable at once before the walls come weak as a result of mud on the walls coming off. I would not want to keep up with the smearing every month because it is tiresome and costly.

Since I started receiving these transfers I have been able to buy building materials such as iron sheets, timber, and nails which I have used in building a new iron-roofed house. I have been living in a grass thatched house whose roof was leaking. As a result of the leaking roof, I have had to make three different sets of sofa sets because they got spoiled by the leaking roof. When I started receiving the transfers, I thanked God because I knew I would finally have the kind of a house I have always wanted to have. Thank Give Directly for making this dream come true.

In the next six months, I would want to save part of my transfers to buy cement and sand which I will use in plastering my house. I had a dream of building a permanent house but due to low income, I am not able to. With the opportunity given to me by Give Directly, I would want to have a semi-permanent house.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because l am now staying in a iron roofed house where l am not being rained on as compared to before.

My new goal is to plaster my house since, repairing it using mad is not easy because l have to repair it like every two month and this is also expensive because l have to buy mad.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that, before give directly come l was staying in thatched leaky house, but immediately l started receiving the money l bought build materials bit buy bit and build a spacious iron roofed house where l am not worried at all when it is raining.

In the next six months l will have completed plastering my house and staying in a nice house like other people.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that currently, I'm not worried about my children going hungry even without me having some cash in the house because I can comfortably borrow some money knowing that at the end of the month I'll be able to pay back.

I have a new goal of plastering my house so that it can be more decent and secure. I also have a goal of buying goats for rearing so that in the future when my children get to secondary school I can sell them in order to raise the school fee for them. I'm also planning to sell the goats after they have given birth and use the money to buy a cow.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving money from GiveDirectly is that I'm now happy and more comfortable knowing that I now have a comfortable decent house that is not leaking. Previously we couldn't sleep whenever it rained, and we could sit in a corner in the house till the rain stops.

In the next six months, I expect to have plastered my house so that when it rains the walls won't be washed off and again this is a project I had started and I want to rest after it's fully done.

I am a business man,but I sell my charcoal in small scale,so my new goal is to expand the business. I want to open my own store.

My life is currently different from how it would have never been in that,at least now I have my own hoe. I do not have to ask for one from neighbours which sometimes, they feel I am a bother to them.

In the next six months,I expect my charcoal store to be up and running. This means more income to me and my family.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have some ease, more so when it comes to buying corn. Previously I could buy corn after every two days which was quite expensive. As we speak,a month has passed and my wife has not asked me for money to buy corn.
