What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I dug and built a latrine, constructed a semi-permanent house of 24 iron sheets and cleared school fees for my son in a college. I am now happy since I am no longer homeless and again it is my pride that, my son pursues law, more peacefully.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because I have ceased to be homeless! I don't need to worried where to get rent to continue staying in someones property. Again, I am now glad that my son is going to sit for his law examination without any stress. I don't need to succumb to stress again, this time round.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what Give Directly does well is that it sends money directly to our phones but it would be better they also consider empowering orphans individually to pursue their dreams in life.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on paying university fee for my son who is pursuing a law degree at the university of Nairobi. I then spent the rest of the transfer on building my own house as I had been living in someone else's house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference is I am more calm and at piece because my son is settled in school as I was able to clear his fee using the GD transfers.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent the whole of my first transfer on paying my son's college fee in the Kenya school of law because I have high hopes for him.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received my money while coming from a church fellowship and immediately I confirmed that the money was indeed from GD I felt humbled and grateful because it was my prayer that God would provide us with a destiny helper to see my elder son pay for his school fees in the law school and so it came to pass.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Our first plan is to use part of the transfer to build a house, because we already have a piece of land, so that we have our own home. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to pay school fees for our child, whom we expect to join secondary school next year. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to boost the stock of my small business of selling fish.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we are very proud of is, having educated our first son up to the level of diploma in pharmacy, and another one up to university.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we have faced is, paying school fees for our child who is in secondary school, because the sales in business have reduced, resulting in low income.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evenings, when I am relaxing at home, after I have closed my business.
