My goal is to add more livestock if I get some money. This is because I desire to invest in livestock. After all, they are safe to look after and can be converted to monetary value if the need arises. This is why I bought some in both transfers and I aim to buy more.

I am grateful to GiveDirectly for enabling me to pay school fees for my children who were out of school. Through the transfers, I was able to invest and now I am raring some goats which is a security for my children's education. The organization did well and as a village, we are happy about it.

Being a parent of five school-going children, the priority of the second transfer was to pay school fees for my children. The push which made me work on this is that they were three days out of school for fees. Therefore, I paid KES 30000.00 for the first one who is in secondary school and KES 12000.00 for the remaining four who are in primary school. Thereafter, I added two goats for KES 8000.00 to the ones I bought using the first transfer to boost my livestock investment. For the remaining amount, I bought some food for the family.

I was at home doing cleaning when I received the transfer message. My husband was in the house when and I couldn't afford not to share these good news with him. We literally danced because joy that we had. That was good news to us.

Previously, some of my kids were sleeping on cartons which was not comfortable at all as they would oftenly complain of back pains. Ever since I bought a mattress they have been enjoying their sleep as they never wake up early as they used to do.

We have been sharing a very small space with our five kids in our single room. My husband is a local beer seller while I'm a house wife. Although our desire was to build a bigger house for our family, the daily local beer sells that he was earning averaging to 300 KES per day is not enough to provide basic needs, pay school fees and save towards building a house. when I was enrolled in the program, my husband and I agreed to buy building materials with part of the first transfer and build a house with the second transfer. I spend 30000 KES to buy iron sheets and other building materials, 11000 KES to buy a cow and the balance to buy food and other household items such as mattress and utensils. If it was not for the transfers, all this would not have been achievable and I'm grateful for the financial support.
