I was so excited and very grateful for the program..The money meant a lot to me and my household..
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that we now have enough food for the entire household and we will now be living in a better house as we will be plastering it.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
She spent the cash on purchasing 10 bags of cement in order to improve her house by plastering it..Some of the money was saved to be used later on.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very thankful for being part of this program. This means a lot to me. My house will be renovate d using the money. I also plan to build a toilet and a bathroom using the money. I also intend to start a business of selling second hand clothes.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am always happy when my husband brings money from his business. The business is not paying out as it used to do in the past.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Food access is the main challenge. The money from business is not enough to support buy food.
