How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I hope to accomplish my dream by building new structure for my family and I to sleep comfortably without rain falling on us why sleeping.

Giving us money freely without asking us for anything in return and not asking us to work for it brought me so much joy and happiness that I want for GiveDirectly to continue doing what they started because it is very good and changing the lives of us the poor people.

I spent my fourth transfer to saw my planks and build my new house and I bought new solar panel set to enable my son who is disabled to come and make business through it here.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't have a new goal for now besides the house project
my husband and I are currently working on it. From the day I started receiving the transfers I have been purchasing materials for the project. However, my husband and I decided to do this because we want to get all of our materials on hand before we can contact the builder. Moreover, we don't want our project to be delayed.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I don't having new goals before receiving this transfer, looking at my age i want to build my own house in this town, for the past years living in this town i been struggling to build my own house but financially i was not able at that time, with the help of GD few months from now i will be a house owner.

Give Directly had change the narrative from bad to Good life between I'm my family's, i never taught i will build my own house in this town this is more than good to me. Looking at things I don't know anything that GD did that is not well all is okay

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
RE: i was sitting under my kitchen in the morning when i heard noise of celebration from my neighbors that their givedirectly transfer has come, right away i send my son to go get my phone from inside and check it if my transfer has come as well.
When he checked the message my givedirectly cash was there.
I praise God for his blessing through givedirectly.

RE: The biggest difference in my live at the moment is am no longer worry about how comfortable my children going to be in my absent.

RE: I spend the most of my recent transfer on purchasing zinc for the construction of a New house.
I have always taught of building a new and more modern house for my younger children that are coming up, as for me am already old so i just want my children to have a comfortable life when am gone.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I received this cash transfer from GiveDirectly, I will build my house and send my kid to school. The mud structure that we have is no longer in a good condition. I have a family size of 7 members. It becomes challenging for us every rainy season. As new academic year draws nearer, I will paye the four school going kids yearly school fees because I will not want their future to be like us without a formal education/skills. Afterwards, I will buy three bundles of zinc, pay people to mode two thousand and five hundred dirt bricks for the construction of a three bed rooms building . The structure we are living in currently can't accommodate our family and it's not also decent and comfortably.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The save delivery of my daughter-in-Law in the month of April 2022 was the recent joyful time in my life. Doctor report told us earlier that she will give birth to the child by the means of operation but with the help of God, she gave birth safely to a girl child. To even feed this pregnant women up to the time of birth wasn't an easy task so with the pronouncement of operation was really worrisome for us. We have no saving to take care of any emergency as such so I was really happy when she delivered freely and safely.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Financial hardship is the current hardship I am going through. My husband and I are not educated so it's a difficult thing to gather cash for the day-to-day management of our family. We even accepted living in this old mud structure for this long because we have not had the means of generating funding in huge sum that could enable us undertake our residential building project. If we are fortunate to receive this cash transfer from GiveDirectly, it will help us to achieve our plan of building a durable house for our family.
