Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was an interesting but unforgettable moment in my because my dream of having a better house was slowly being fulfilled. But most importantly, I saw myself and my family being saved from the impeding hunger that had already seen to wreck havoc to my household.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference is that in the previous years, January was the most difficult month of the year which most of the times we used to sleep on empty stomachs. This time around on the contrary, we have food to take us through this month and possibly part of February. GD's transfer therefore came at the most critical time in my life, Iam simply grateful.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Well, I spent this cash on buying food for my family. I also bought 2 bags of fertilizer which I applied to my maize field. In addition Iam currently using part of the transfer to renovate my house which was in bad state.
