Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a new goal of buying building materials like iron sheets, poles, nails and timber that I plan to use to build a new kitchen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am glad that I receive the transfers from GiveDirectly as I have been able to put food on the table for my family every day. Previously, we could go without food for days or even afford just a meal a day as we earned so little from casual work that could only cater to one meal a day. The financial burden has been lifted off my shoulders by the transfers and I cannot thank GD enough for that.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I shall have bought building materials and built a new kitchen. I have been cooking under a tree for the longest time and sometimes the adverse weather would be so extreme it got ard to prepare the meals under a tree. I look forward to owning a beautiful kitchen by then and I will have a comfortable place to prepare our family meals.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have been able to save some of these transfers over the last few months and bought a sheep which I consider the biggest investment so far. I had only a few cattle and have always wanted to own sheep or goats, but due to lack of income, it had never been possible until this project came. I am happy that I am well on my way to achieving my dream as I have begun by buying one sheep which I know will give way for more.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have a plan of constructing a new kitchen to replace the current one that I have which is in a very dilapidated state and might collapse soon. I have been planning for this for a very long time, but not able to reach my goal because I solely depend on these transfers for other needs such as medication.I have some of the required materials and I hope that in the next four months,I will have bought the remaining ones and have the kitchen constructed.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have several lifestyle diseases such as Arthritis, Diabetes, Ulcers and hypertension. I have no stable source of income, therefore, managing these conditions have always been quite a struggle for me as I am required to be on special medication and diet which all require lots of money. With the help of GD tranfers, I have seen a great improvement in my general health over the last few months as I am able to access all the recommended medication and diet.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that in the next six months, I will have bought enough construction materials to construct a new kitchen. I currently have an old one that might collapse any moment and I hope that will change soon. Other than serving as a cooking area, the new kitchen will also serve as a sleeping area for some of my grandchildren who are all currently sleeping in one room despite being of different gender.

Having sleepless nights was normal for the longest time I knew because I had been sleeping in an old mattress which was uncomfortable. At times, I could wake up at four o'clock but being that it could be dark everywhere in my house, I had no option but to rest untill morning on the bed. This was uncomfortable because my body could ache every other day. This changed when I bought a big mattress where I now sleep well till morning. This is so far the biggest difference that I have experienced in the last four months.
