What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent 20,000 KES of my third transfer on paying fee for my husband who is pursuing a Diploma Course in Early Childhood Education Development at Bondo Teacher's Training College. I had earlier paid for him 10,000 KES from my second transfer and 3,000 KES from my first transfer since by then he had been at home for 3 months due to fee non-payment, until GD transfers bailed us out. I then invested 5,000 KES on a small scale tomatoes, sugar, salt, vegetable, fruits and sardines business. With the business profits, I have joined a Women Group where I have been saving 550 KES per month, with a vision of one day borrowing and initiating a Poultry Project since I already have the materials bought from the balance after paying my spouse's Training fee and starting a business.

I spent 10000 KES of my second transfer on constructing both a bathroom and pit latrine. I paid school fee of 10000 KES for my spouse who is in college, I bought a cupboard of 8000 KES for storing my utensils and used the rest of the money on poultry farming and on buying a few utensils.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I spent on a bicycle which would facilitate my businesses. I run a grocery and transportation has been a problem; apart from being rare, it has been more expensive transporting vegetables and the rest of grocery from farms and markets and therefore having the bicycle would be the ultimate solution to the problem.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from Give Directly, I felt very happy. I knew that through it, I would boost my businesses and fend for my household needs like clothing which had turned a major concern-one of my child could walk in tattered uniform since I couldn't manage to provide for them sufficiently well.

The happiest part of the day is in the evening when I am seated with my family sharing a meal.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that my life will change because I will finally own my own toilet and not use the bush as a toilet . In addition,I will also be able to start a business of selling clothes and not entirely depend on my husband for all basic needs.
