How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I'm very much grateful to Give Directly, I am a subsistance farmer, but life had been very difficult for my family as not much is earned from the farming activities. Presently, the roof of my house is in a very bad condition. All the sticks has been eaten by wood bugs. This had been a worrisome issues for me. For this reason, my goal had been to change the entire roof. Therefore, I used my first two transfers and bought four bundles of zinc and roofing nail. However, I used the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars for planks. The balance money was spend on paying the carpenters. This level of progress made, bring me so much happiness.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Before receiving payments from GiveDirectly, I started cutting thatches for my house due to the bad leakage of the roof. Interestingly, GiveDirectly transfer can right on time. My new goal now is to change the entire roof of my house from the old thatched roof to a zinc roof. Therefore, I used some of the money and bought two bundles of zinc. I also used a portion to buy six gallons of gasoline to saw planks for the roofing. With this new goal I feel very much excited that I will not worry again about the roof. In my opinion GiveDirectly has been doing a remarkable job. Every step carried out by this Organization has been fair and transparent. They continue to work tirelessly for the well-being of we the beneficiaries. In my thinking GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I woke up from bed early morning as usual, I began to do my normal home work. I decided to put my phone on and set it to where I can locate network, after a while I heard my phone rang, it was a message, so I decided to check out right away, then I realized that GD has sent my long awaited transfer, I was overwhelmed with great joy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I was a palm cutter at the same time making farm to sustain my family but that wasn't enough to keep us up. Raining season has always been a huge challenge for us, because our entire roof is rotten. I also truggled a lot to feed my family properly. Thank God, that my worries are now over, my family will have a better place to lay their head and I can now afford to feed them well. All thanks to GD for making my dreams come true.

I bought zing to reroof my house with some planks and I kept portion of the money for workmanship. I also use some of the money to buy provisions for my house.

Our greatest challenge now as a family is purchase a parcel of land to build a better structure for our family that our children can inherit.
