What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Receiving this cash means a lot to me because it will enable me to acquire a piece of land in walwanyi village in mabono subcounty at the cost of USD1,874 to build and relocate with MY family for safety. This has brought me alot of hope and a positive indicator for a brighter future for me and my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What has brought me joy is my children and my husband being in good health, when I harvested my coffee worth 20,000/= and I used it to buy food for my family, also when I received the good news of givedirectly giving us unconditional cash to develop and improve on the living conditions of my family, it brought me a lot of hope and joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challanges that am currently facing is majorly poverty which has led to failure to pay school fees for all my children at school, also shortage of land for farming and settlement because where we are currently staying is very risky and prone to disasters like landslides and flash floods. One of the causes of poverty is the challange of flash floods that has kept on destroying my small garden where we get food for the family hence leading to a lot of hunger.
