What does receiving this money mean to you?
The structure my house, my children and I live in now is owned by my Brother In Law. Eventhough he's is not asking us out of the house, we don't feel comfortable with the number of children we have, sharing the same structure. Moreover, we have already planned to send our kids to where they can be able to acquire better education but lack of enough cash has held us back. Therefore, when we get the transfer, we will use the money to build our own house and the balance to relocated our children to where they will get better education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Over the past six month, there has been a lot of difficult times for my family and I. Most of our plans for the year did not work out due to lack of enough cash. The only thing that brought me joy over the last six months is the fact that my family and I are still alive and at least we have food to eat. Moreover over, the news today that GiveDirectly has come to help improve our living conditions and with this we know our plans will become reality.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The current challenges I am facing now is lack of enough cash. My spouse rides bike on traffic and we also make cassava farm to be able to sustain our family. Money generated from those mentioned is not enough to settle some major family problems like building my family and I a house of our own and getting my children relocated for school purpose, especially to acquire better education.
