What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used my last transfer to buy a new sawing machine because before then, I used a hired machine which costed me extra money monthly. I also used some part of it to pay my children's school fees.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my second transfer on buying building material such as cement and sand for cementing my house and now I am no longer incur frequent expenses of smearing my house with mud 28500 KES. I bought a sewing machine 12,000 KES. I also paid school fees for my daughter who is in high school 5000 KES.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest differences in my daily life are I am now staying in a cemented house hence I am longer worried of incurring frequent expenses of maintaining my house as I used to and this gives me happiness.I also have my own sewing machine as a result my income has doubled because I have all the profits to myself unlike before when I used to hire my neighbor's sewing machine.

I spent my first transfer majorly on paying fees for my daughter in secondary school, buying a sack of maize and other foods for daily consumption.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my farm digging when I received my money from GiveDirectly. I felt so happy but composed myself to finish working then withdrew later in the evening. Thanks to GD.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of stable and reliable source of income, as a widow I keep struggling to raise money to feed my family and pay my children's school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm happiest around midday because I get to interact with customers who leave me with assignments hence payment after the work is complete.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
This money will help me overcome so many challenges. I'll use part of it to expand my business, pay school fees for my children, renovate my house and feed my family.
