Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt very happy when I received my money from GD. I was very happy because I knew that with the money I was going to be able to buy a mattress meaning that I would have a better place to sleep on since I used to sleep on a mat because I had no money to buy a mattress. The money is also helping me build a bigger house of three bedrooms so that my family is more comfortable and have more space in the house. Receiving this more made me so happy .
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that since I had no money and no job to find money my house was very small and in a very bad condition. It had a roof made of grass and my children all had to share one room. I have now managed to buy iron sheets so that my new house has a better roof and I am building a bigger and better house. The money from GD has also helped me buy a mattress and now I no longer have to sleep on a mat which was very uncomfortable .
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have spent my transfer on building a new house, I have bought also used my money to buy a mattress . I am building a new house for me and my family because my old house is in a very bad condition. I have three children and the house only has two bedroom meaning all my children have to share one small room. I have not been able to build a better house because I had no money. I don't have a job and the only source of money I have is making mats that I sell in my area. This money is only enough for buying day to day food.
