What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
Ever since my ex husband, Piyason Lazaro divorced me in 2017 I have always struggled to improve my living conditions for better and it has been really a challenge. So, receiving this money means that I will be able to do that for I plan on working on my house in terms of having a cemented floor, window frames and grasses and also take care of the interior furniture such as chairs and a table. I haven't made a proper budget for this, however I am sure it would be a hefty cost for all this to be done. After this I plan on buying 10 bags of maize for food security so that I don't lack like I am lacking now.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For me that has to be back in July when I sold cotton in Mululu to some chinese company and I got 68$. I used this money to buy an extra bag of maize for food and I paid 1$ for my grandchild's school fund. I was excited because I felt somehow relieved from my challenges.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
With the erratic rains this year I only harvested 2 bags of maize for food from my 1.5 acre farm land. This lasted until August this year, thus for me and my grand daughter, Eliza Wyson who is now at school, Mafiso primary. Since then we have been facing a hunger issue such that we've resorted to just having lunch and supper cancelling out breakfast. Additionally, I am not fulfilled with the condition of my house, I wish it was cemented on the floor and had plastered walls. I am unable to achieve this because with my monthly income of less than 1$ it is impossible to undertake such projects. These are the hurdles that make my life harder as of present day.
