What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am a class seven student at Ikanga primary school. All being well, I will be in secondary school in 2 years. I would not want to be in a scenario where I am dismissed from school due to tuition fees arrears. Getting a quality education is my ambition for this money. People in this community farm by use of ox-drawn plows. I plan to buy 2 cows and a plow costing roughly 40,000 KES. I will plow the community farms at a fee of 1,500 KES per acre. Confidently, I will be making money enough to cater for my secondary education.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I scored 260 out of 500 marks in my previous exam. This was my highest score ever. I was overjoyed because I was slightly above the average.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am a son to a single mother. For 20 years now, I do not know what my father looks like. Not knowing if my dad is alive or not, stresses me up. Indirectly, this has affected my school performance because I am frequently lost in thoughts instead of concentrating on my studies.
