What did you spend your third transfer on?
I always felt end month was coming up so fast as every time the landlord was at my door with a padlock asking for his rent. I was staying in a rented house and I could not raise the rent, Most of the time we could be locked out and my children could sleep in the neighbors houses so, when I received my third transfer, I bought building materials that I used to build my own house. I never imagined that the only concern I would have is to look for food, without having fear of approaching the landlord and bearing all the insults when he visited. I have a house now. My own house, no more landlord visits!!!!!

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I took 10000 KES from it to clear the school fees balance for my child in secondary school so that he is not sent home for the same. I then bought 30 iron sheets and a lorry of clay soil in readiness for constructing my new house since we stay in a marshy area with weak soils and my current house is dilapidated and leaks so much when it rains. The balance was spent on buying 2 sacks of dry maize and other foodstuffs for my family because we did not have enough food in the house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to pay my child's fee arrears, thus have had no pressure and stress seeing him sent home for fees as it used to be before.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend the transfers towards making my own home since paying rent monthly is expensive and tedious.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that through table banking I have been able to buy furniture and other small household items.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is how to meet the needs of my family since the wages I earn can't make for rent, food, clothing and education of my children.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am rarely happy because I have a lot running in mind. Only around when I earn my wages is when I can have a short lived happiness since I am sure then that my children will eat.
