In the next four months, I plan to build my family a nice house where they can enjoy the freedom of space as the previous one was small and we had outgrown it. With the new house, my children will worry less about where to sleep because I will have separate rooms for boys and girls.

I have been living with my children in the absence of their dad who passed away. I can openly say that he was the bread-winner in our home and since his demise, life has been hectic and unbearable but we have managed to make it to date. The main challenge I faced was to provide for my children and pay their school fees with no work but a mere casual job. There are days when circumstances forced us to sleep without food. But of date, GD's transfers have been of great help in patching the holes that my loving husband left behind.

In the next six months, I am certain that my family will have enough food to sustain us for weeks, I will have built a bigger house to accommodate my fast growing boys and girls where they can enjoy their privacy since they are at their adolescent stage and they are experiencing different changes on their bodies. Besides that, I am hoping to have cleared their school fees. This was never the case since initially, we had to squeeze in one tiny house and privacy was a luxury and school fee was a nightmare.

Currently, My family and I have been eating balanced diet food ever since I started receiving these transfers. I am glad that our health has improved and we longer go to hospital more often from attacks of opportunistic diseases which might have presented itself due to missing meals like before the transfer. When I used to struggle to keep up with the needs of the family with the meager income from casual work.

My new goal for the next four months is to buy few construct materials and cement the floor of my house which at the moment have is made of mud that predisposes us to dust. Once I cement the floor then I will be assured that it will last for several years to come.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is being able to pay up fees arrears for my daughter who is in primary school. Right now, she is in school studying without any worry about being sent home because of arrears. Before, I used to feel very bad because her fellow pupils were in school studying yet she was at home. My desire is to give her a quality education that I will entirely sacrifice GiveDirectly's transfer to pursue this desire.

I expect in the next six months I shall have collected the required construction materials through buying them every month with part of GiveDirectly's transfer. They will be helpful in facilitating the cementing of my mud floor. Having a cemented floor will be a relieve for me since the struggles of living in a dusty environment shall be history.

There other difference in my life is that we have been eating good food ever since I started receiving these transfers. I would want her to have maximum time to study in school because I know through this her performance will improve. When she is done, I know she will get a good job and take care of her life well.

The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving these transfers is that I have bought 7 bags of cement which I want to use in plastering my house. This is because I am getting old so I cannot keep up with smearing the house on a monthly basis. I also do not have the resources to pay for the monthly renovation. During the rainy seasons, life has been always difficult in the house since the mud on the walls fall off and it worries me a lot. Now that I have the cement, I will repair the house once and for all. and focus on other family needs.

In the next six months, I would want to ensure that I pay my daughter school fees arrears so that I stop the issue of her being sent home regularly for the same. I would want her to have maximum time to study which I know will improve her performance. When she gets good grades, she will go to a good secondary school which will result in a well-paying job to help support her future.

Just like I have mentioned, I have been able to buy six bags of cement which I will use top transform my house from a mud-walled house to a semi-permanent house which has the ability to last for over fifty years if well taken care of. Now the difference is that four months ago, I never had the bags of cement because I did not have money to buy them but because of the transfers that i have been getting from GD, I have been able to purchase them and that alone makes me so happy.

I have been buying few bags of cement that I intend to use to cement the interior parts of my house which have always been made of mud which makes the house prone to dust and the walls always get weak with time, and eventually the house may end up collapsing. Once I cement the walls then I will be assured that the building will last for several years to come.

The biggest difference for me is that the monthly cash transfers have put me in a position where I am able to pay school fees promptly for my son. Initially before this project was launched in our village, I used to struggle so much because I had to work for other people for long hours in order to get some very little pay like two hundred shillings per day but right now I can comfortably rely on the monthly transfers from the organization. I am happy because my child does not spend time at home while other kids are in school carrying on with their studies as usual.

I have a plan of building a new kitchen structure for myself so that I can prepare my meals in a more comfortable manner unlike what I do currently where I have to cook outside where I always face a lot of challenges especially when I have to cook outside in harsh weather conditions. Apart from that, the structure will also act as a sleeping area for my daughter who normally has to go and sleep at a relatives place every nigh, almost five hundred meters away from where I live. It is not a good thing especially for the girl child who has to walk for such a distance every night in the dark.

My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago is that I can currently afford a balanced diet and not relying on potatoes as it used to be the case previously. I have also bought cement that I'm planning to use to plaster my house, this makes me so proud.

For the next four mpnths of my life I have an additional goal of replacing the current bedding because they are already worn out and so uncomfortable sleeping on.

The biggest diference in my daily life four months preceding the trnasfers is that I'm happy and proud I'll soon have a decent cemented house which I have never imageind I would own in my life. This is becase I have already bought cement which i'm soon using to plaster the house.

I do not have a kitchen currently and I would wish to have constructed a new kitchen in the next six months though I'm not sure whther I'll have raised enough money to construct it by then.

My new goals includes: plastering my house, paying school fees for my daughter and buying household items such as chairs and tables on top of a cooking pot and a blanklet.

My life is currently different from how it was before because I initially was not able to buy the household items that I have already mentioned. Moreover, I normally relied on loans from friends, but I know do not need to take loans to buy things.

I expect my life to change because I will be able to pay people to dig for me on top of paying school fees for my daughter. I also plan to repair my house from the cash transfer I will be receiving from Give Direct.

The biggest difference in my life is that I was able to buy maize seeds that I used in farming during the planting season.
