What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I built a semi-permanent house of 25 iron sheets. Initially, I was homeless and therefore I lacked a good place to sleep. I could walk long distance to ask for people to allow me sleep with them which was also challenging.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my stress has plummeted. I am now not worried anymore where to get money to construct a house since Give Directly catered for this. I live more comfortably in my own house, a dream that I would have not achieved if I would have never received transfers from Give Directly.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my own opinion, what Give Directly does well is giving out unconditional grants however, they should consider creating slots of employment for some of the community members where they work.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I needed a more comfortable surface to sleep on and therefore I spent the whole of my first transfer on a a bed and a 5 by 6 high density mattress.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to construct a house when I receive this my upcoming second transfer since I am homeless. I do cruise in the darkness to the neighboring home where I am always offered a place to sleep on and this is risky.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I intend to use the first part of the transfer to build my own house because I don't have one now. Secondly, I plan to use another part of the transfer to enroll for a driving course. Lastly, plan to use the remaining amount to pay school fees for my sister who is in secondary school in form two.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm very proud of is that, with savings from my casual, I have managed to support my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being without my own house has been the biggest hardship I have faced.
What is the happiest part of your day?
It is in the evening when I am happiest because at that time, I have earned some income from my casual work, bought some food for my family and wait as the food is being prepared.
