How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received cash transfers in that I now sleep in a better iron roofed house. Before I received this cash transfer, I was sleeping in a grass thatched leaky house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly has done well through making follow up on receipt of the cash transfer and help sort out any advance events that might have come up. I am very impressed with the work of Give Directly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer worth UGX 1,633,000, I decided to pay a debt of UGX 800,000 which was borrowed for construction of my permanent house. I paid the builders UGX 300,000, I bought a door and two Windows worth UGX 300,000, I bought cement at UGX 233,000 and I now sleep in adecent house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I'm now happy and no longer stressful like the days i hadn't received the transfer.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy and thanked God for enabling me get this money that has helped me uplift the well-being of my household.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I bought building materials and started constructing the house. The whole transfer (1700000 ugx) was spent on the house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
My plan is to spend the transfers on education. This money will help me pay school fees for my daughter studying in Kamon primary school .
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest moments is always evening hours . It's a time iam relieved having ended the day well.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is sickness. Iam HIV/AIDS victim this normally keeps on attacking me.
