How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am so grateful for the cash transfers that have transformed my life. I bought livestock which I could not afford in the past. I also repossessed my piece of land that I had used to secure a loan. This loan helped me cater for children's medical expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send people cash transfers.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I paid a debt worth UGX 400000. I bought chairs worth UGX 100000 and a bull worth UGX 690000. I gave my spouse UGX 50000. I am planning to buy an oxplough with the remaining cash transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to buy oxen that will support in farming so as to improve food production in my household. I also hope to buy household items for my family. I believe this is what will best support my household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the evening when I am seated with my wife. I feel I have grown the fact that we have children.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with is lack of oxen. I cultivate late because I don't have my own. Some times I have managed to have atleast a piece of land but how to prepare it for use becomes a charllage. I usually wait until the owners have finished work in their gardens. This has always affected crop productivity and food shortage in the end.
