What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer complete the construction of the house which I had started with the first transfer. I spent ugx 1300000 on building materials and pay labor. I used spent ugx 247000 for buying household items i.e mattress, bed, utensils and clothes. My spouse used ugx 80000 for buying motorcycle Tyre and ugx 5000 for food.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well provide me with cash transfers which enabled me build a permanent house, acquire household items like mattress, bed, utensils and clothes that were lacking. In the community, I have observed most recipients have used these transfers to construct houses. Those who were not married have married their spouses, Businesses have been started using these transfers therefore people's standards of living have greatly improved. In my opinion, I did not see anything wrong done by GiveDirectly.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now because, I have been able to acquire things I wasn't able to buy on my own before getting these transfers. I have built a house, Bought household items and live a much better life in terms sleeping in a cool house and new bedding's. Before receiving these transfers, I used to live a hard life with a lot of stress on how I will built a good house because the one I was sleeping in was leaking.

The biggest hardship I faced was sickness in my family because I had to sell my food so as to get money for treatment

The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when I have finished eating food with my children
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Recieving this money means I will be able to build my self and family an Iron roofed house because I have been admiring those sleeping in iron roofed houses for a long time.
