Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal in the next four months is to save part of the transfers through buying building materials in bits until I shall have collected the required number which will be enough to construct a new kitchen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is the ability to cement my house . I am glad that I no longer incur expenses of smearing my previous mud house for alignment after the heavy rains have weaken some of its parts leading to cracks more frequent. Secondly, the joy of staying in a clean environment without exposure to dust makes it more awesome.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have collected the required building materials that would facilitate the construction of my new kitchen. At the moment, I have to cook in the main house since my old kitchen had collapsed as a result of the heavy rains that washed it away.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, Paying school fees for my child has been easy through the transfers. I paid the school fees in time and that gave my child ample time studying and also barred my child from involving himself in the vices of society. We are also able to buy food daily for my family as we can afford the meals each day. I also bought building materials that I used to plaster my house which now looks so beautiful and the envy of the entire village.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I wish to buy more building materials to build a new kitchen. I have one that leaks when it rains as the iron sheets are now so old.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have a stress free life. I have been able to save and buy building materials that I used to plaster my house. I did not have any stable income to help in buying the materials back then and I can say that GiveDirectly has enabled me to fulfil the dream without having to struggle to raise income through tedious work to buy them which would have also taken a longer period of time to acquire.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have been using the transfers to pay school fees for my children. When my husband passed on, he left me with the burden of providing for our seven children. I make sure they have food on the table every day, have decent clothes to wear and also pay for their school fees on my own. I am happy and relieved that I am receiving these transfers as I have been able to meet all the needs of my children without necessarily working extra hard to earn meagre income which could hardly cover all them
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change more as I plan to use the transfers to pay school fees for my children. The children will have quality education at the end of the day and that will help them shape their future however best they want.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have able to plaster my house. I used part of my monthly transfers to buy cement and sand which I used in plastering my house. Before the transfers, I used to spend a lot of time smearing and due to old age, it was becoming hectic and costly to smear every month. Anytime I was sick, I would have to borrow money to pay someone to smear for me. This is because the mud on walls used to fall and would weaken the house. The condition was worsening and I felt it is costly to smear every month hence I chose to plaster to reduce this cost and subject the money on smearing on other family needs such as school fees.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the four months, my new goal is to ensure I clear school fees for my children. I would not want to see my children sent home for school fees every now and then because of school fees. This has really affected their performance in school because in most cases they spent a lot of time at home while others are studying in school.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving these transfers is that every month I have my own money. Before the transfers, I would really struggle to get money. I would go for casual work and in most cases, it would be paid later after completing the work and this would really inconvenience me a lot even in buying food and paying school fees for my children. During the dry seasons, I would go for a month without receiving any money because we do not farm on dry seasons hence I do not have any income at such times. With GD transfers which I have money every beginning of the money which is a miracle in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to start a foodstuff business to boost my income. I would not want to beg and struggle as I used to. I am growing old and I cannot keep up with casual work of working on other people farms. I would want to dedicate my time on an in come which requires less energy but more of my time.
