How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from how it would have been because I now have a huge water tank in my homestead. I purchased it purposely for storing water for commercial usage. I have been fetching water in the arms which were very far from the village and sometimes we could be attacked by the wild animals, therefore we were always insecure. Therefore I have to think of a permanent solution on the same and I ended up buying the tank. I am gladd I no longer transfer the long distabces to fetch water instead I am utilizing the one that I harvested during the rainy seasons. Sometimes I even water my vegetables in my small garden using the same water in my tank. Also, the beddings that I purchased have made my life much smoother than before. Initially, whenever it reached the time to sleep, I was not at peace because of the situations of the beddings. Thank you so much, GD for tranfrminhbmy life positively.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well becasue they were perfect in all the sectors. Forst, during the enrolment I was promised that I would receive my money on a given date and I received it as promised. There was no delay at all. This showed that the GiveDirectly staffs are very honest and keep their promise as well. This is a unique organization from the previous ones that have been visiting our region. May God bless you.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
For all those years, I have been sleeping on the old traditional beds with old sacks and bedsheets. I have always been comolding of some back pains and being attacked by bedbugs and this led me to suffer from anaemia and pneumonia n most of the time. Therefore after receiving the second transfer I had to purchase a new wooded bed and a mattress and bedsheets. It is now a big relief to me because I am sleeping comfortably like the rest. Also, I purchased decent clothes for my children and me to replace the old ones. I later saved a little cash and used the reming on buying foodstuffs for my family.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy and grateful and there are no words to express how happy I was after I learned that I had finally received my first transfers. It such a joyous moment for me and my family since we knew that the money will be of great help to us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest in my daily life is that I managed to buy a big water tank. I have been dreaming of having one for years but I could not afford it because they were too costly. I opted in purchasing it because in my village there is always a water shortage and the dams are very far from my home. Therefore I know it will be a relief to me because I will be harvesting the rainy water and use it for my domestic activities. Also since I am a farmer watering my garden and farm will no longer be a bother to me since I have the tank.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent part of my transfer on buying a water tank purposely for harvesting raining water. I later bought some iron sheets, building poles, nails, and timber. This was for the construction of a new house because the previous one was very small and it could not accommodate us all. I also bought some beddings which include new beds and mattresses to replace the traditional beds that I have been using all along. With the remaining amount, I bought enough foodstuffs for my family.
