How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I boosted my charcoal burning business and there is more capital now in my business. I never had enough clothes but with the transfers received, I was to buy some. I would be so poor but GD has given me a new hope and a new life.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD helped me so much by sending me unconditional financial transfers with which I have been able to invest in my charcoal burning business and the sugarcane plantation.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought some trees for charcoal burning at 200,000=, I paid for Labor to chop the trees and fuel at 300,000=, I bought some clothes for my self at about 100,000= I hired land for sugarcane farming at 300,000=, I have 200,000= as cash at hand for my business, while i still have a balance of 500,000 plus on my account which i plan to use for my farm's labor.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means getting or buying the things I really need but I do not have like land for farming, building a better house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I come back from the garden and I get to rest.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of enough land for farming because I am a farmer but I have to keep renting land every season which is really expensive since I do not have any other source of income.
