How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I have not been able to do much with my transfers in the past four months because I have been saving them to buy a heifer, therefore I cannot say that there have been any changes in my life. Saving the transfers has however given me the hope of adding one more cow to my shed before the end of this year which I know would have been impossible without the transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I have been saving my transfers for the past three months with the aim of buying a heifer because currently, I only have bulls that help us in farming as they are used to draw the oxen driven ploughs. I have done my research and I know that I can get a heifer at a little amount of KES10000 which I know I will manage to raise soon enough.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Over the past few months, these transfers I have been receiving have helped boost my fish business which is now bigger and much better than it used to be. I earn more than I did before which allows me to cater to my family's needs with much more ease. Even though the transfers will soon end, I am not worried because I know my business is stable enough to support us which makes me proud because my life will never go back it what it was before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I hope that I will have achieved my goal of buying a heifer by the time the transfers are over because I know that it will be difficult for me to raise the extra money from my business. Owning the heifer will make proud because I will feel that I have properly invested my transfers since there will be visible returns in years to come.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my family can afford a lot of luxuries which we could not before we started receiving the transfers. We can eat well as we can afford healthy meals. I managed to pay the hospital bill for my daughter who gave birth., I was also able to secure my home by installing steel windows. Now we have maximum security from break-ins by village burglars. I have also managed to buy sand that I plan to use in plastering my house later.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to save and buy building materials like cement and sand to use in plastering my mud-smeared house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life right now is that I was able to settle my daughter's hospital bill using the transfer I received from GiveDirectly. In as much as relatives and friends contributed towards settling the bill for my daughter who gave birth through a caesarean section, GiveDirectly also played a major role in giving me hope when I did not have anyone else to turn to.

In the next six months, I shall have saved the transfers and bought cement and plastered my house. By that time, I shall be having a beautiful house free from dust which is hazardous to our health.
